The article summarizes the book correctly, but doesn't provide insights into the more controversial and innovative elements of the work. As I recall, the most debated aspect of Calvin's essay was the eucharistic doctrine, as Calvin did not believe in real presence or transsubstantiation, which is very important in Roman Catholicism because it allows clerics to claim that the liturgy of the Church is a also a living sacrifice or manna, not unalike to the Passion of Christ himself.
