The photograph is clearly incorrect. Ibicella lutea has yellow flowers. The plant shown is almost certainly a species of Proboscidea. Plantphotographer ( talk) 15:28, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Is this genus monotypic? The article was moved from Ibicella lutea to Ibicella with the justification that the genus is monotypic. The Plant List (not that I entirely trust that reference) has two other species. Tropicos also lists the two other species ( [1], [2], although they are apparently little mentioned in the literature. From the dearth of references to the other species in Tropicos, I assume that the genus may indeed be considered to have only one good species, but I don't have a reference confirming this.
