Whoever added the "DC Comics Metahumans" link was mistaken. The Hyenas have their powers as the result of a curse, not from a metagene. In Fury of Firestorm #11, Firestorm himself was afflicted with the were-hyena curse, and in Fury of Firestorm #13 he was cured by an African shaman. Unlike, say, Tasmanian Devil, there's no metagene involved. Evernut 23:33, 29 July 2007 (UTC) reply
