Incorrect information regarding extent of damage on barrier islands
The article states that "Sanibel Island, Fort Myers Beach, and Pine Island bore the brunt of Ian's powerful winds and its accompanying storm surge at landfall, which leveled nearly all standing structures and collapsed the Sanibel Causeway.." While many buildings suffered major damage from storm surge and many were deemed a total loss, the storm did not "level nearly all the standing structures" on Sanibel, Fort Myers Beach, or Pine Island.
