The numbers for Texas prison population are old -- California passed Texas several years ago. Will research and update. ClaudeMuncey ( talk) 22:10, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
The number of Texas prisoners is 155,000 and counting. [1]The California Department of Corrections is 165,000 according to their website. [2] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cheald10 ( talk • contribs) 22:34, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
I have a link to the Directory, where Huntsville Prison Ministries are listed. These ministries are making a big difference in inmate's lives. How do I list it not to violate all the rules? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Prisonministry ( talk • contribs) 21:03, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

I spent some time in "The Walls". One thing that nobody has mentioned....The guards don't go into, and are rarely present. It's actually run by inmates. Intake, release and work details are all taken care of internally. 2600:1702:1DB0:33C0:F95D:6312:B122:25DC ( talk) 18:45, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
I think that adding prisoners who were only incarcerated in Huntsville Unit on the days of their executions (as opposed to be on death row in Huntsville, which hasn't happened since 1965) would be redundant from a list of prisoners in Texas executed since 1928. The Huntsville prisoner list should only have people who were non-DR prisoners, or DR prisoners from 1928 to 1965.
I removed all of the post-1965 DR prisoners to keep the list tidy. WhisperToMe ( talk) 08:30, 4 February 2024 (UTC)
