The term Swaley cross-stratification is, as far as I know used for very similar structures to HCS,
[1] possibly as a variety. It should probably get a mention.

The photographs in this article are not representative of hummocky cross-stratification, with the possible exception of the second one, in which it is hard to see anything. The top photo is ripple, not hummocky scale (see text description). The bottom two are isolated sand lenses that don't really illustrate the nature of HCS.
