"as Greene was regarded, by the conservative minded" This shouild be replaced as it's biased. It wasn't just the conservative minded but anyone not a 'liberal' left extremist who - if they were interested at all - thought Greene did what the article says. 212.219.249.5 ( talk) 18:07, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

I have removed a lot of it from the article, but will return with properly cited material shortly. Tim riley talk 18:27, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
Dear all,
Under the heading 'BBC director-general' on Hugh Greene's wikipedia page, there is the following quotation from him:
"We are going to use this organisation to change the way the rest of the country thinks. We want them to see stuff they don’t like. We don’t really care if they complain."
Insofar as I can see, this quotation does not have a source. I have looked around the internet to try & find a source, but, have been unable to locate one. Can anyone help?
Thanks, Democrat208 ( talk) 06:55, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
