This page attempts to introduce the concept of housing inequality as it relates to the United States. The entry largely frames the term in the context of the writings of Nobel laureate Amartya Sen with references from a diversity of other sources. Housing inequality is an important aspect of economic inequality and an examination of the topic has legitimate implications for the causes and effects of poverty. I attempt to stay neutral and appropriately broad, but any well founded corrections or additions would certainly contribute to the quality of this Wiki entry.
I'm really glad you addressed this important topic. Have you considered expanding the definition of housing inequality beyond quality of housing issues at the beginning? I encourage you to include differences in quality of living that results from the location of a housing unit. For example, the location of a house dictates what school district children attend for many households. You address this issue as an effect of housing inequality, but I would argue that housing location in addition to quality is a critical piece of housing inequality. Thanks again for your contribution! Krider07 ( talk) 05:06, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
