Jmj713: Per King's own website, Simon & Schuster, Kirkus Reviews etc the page count is 464pp. I only find the NY Times review and Goodreads indicate 449pp. I do not have a copy of the book in my possession. Do we know which is correct?
The pagecount is often approximate before a book is published. I've noticed this before when I would preorder a new book and the number of pages will be less in the actual physical book. Not sure how best to cite it. All I can say is buy the book, or check it out at a bookstore or library.

I have noticed this occasionally as well. Not sure for Stephen King though. I think it would be best to cite the New York Times source, which supports 449pp.
