Khoja (Persian)

I think that "Khoja" has nothing whatsoever to do with "Hodja". The former might be derived from a genuinely Persian word, while "hodja" is Arabic, meaning "evidence", "argument", "proof". Cf. Persian "Hojatoleslam", a title for eminent (Shiite) theologians.

Huh?

How is "a title of respect" "a difficult and often dangerous feat"? ·  rodii · 17:03, 27 March 2011 (UTC) reply
