I found a few little factlets about him. One thing though: is the "first legislature" certain? My understanding of the US political system is very shaky; but as far as I can figure Montana's first legislature convened in 1864 — making him a representative at the tender age of 13.

No worries; I appreciate the feedback, that's how wiki works. Always good to question 'facts' that go into print. I will alter the 'first legislature' reference as you suggest. And thanks for the improvements that you made to the page. We own a house in Frank that was once owned by HL himself, hence our interest in him. We've also found a cryptic photograph in the Glenbow Archives in Calgary that suggests he may have had a daughter in Canada, even tho he wasn't married... :~O
