The article says that Helen "was the daughter and co-heiress of Alan, Lord of Galloway and Hilda or Helen de L'Isle, daughter of Raghnall mac Somhairle and Fonia of Moray". Earlier it had said "was the eldest daughter and co-heiress of Alan, Lord of Galloway and Margaret of Huntingdon"
[1]. Neither claim is referenced. I just noticed that in
David Sellar's Hebridean Sea Kings, that he doesn't list any daughters for
Raghnall mac Somhairle. Also, it seems like all that is known about his wife is that her name was "Fonia". Tradition makes an unnamed wife of his a daughter of an Earl of Moray but the chronology is out of whack.--
