Should it be mentioned that he was often duly known as Smiling Hannes? And should it be mentioned that his achievements are often called 'running Finland onto the world map' due to the political situation of that time? Matti Nuortio, Oulu, Finland ( talk) 21:44, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
Hannes Kolehmainen was a relative of mine. I live in the Seattle, Washington, USA area. My Grandfather Adam Kolemaine moved to this country (changing the last name in the process) about the time Hannes was winning the gold medals. I would like to reestablish the connection with this branch of my family. Please leave message here. My name is Terry Kolemaine (Kolehmainen). Good day!
Russell Kolemaine
Hello Terry. I have been researching Adam as well. I have found the name of the vessel he came over on and his embarkation information. Miss you. Merrily
PS: I'm trying to locate Sean. Hope you'll help.
