I have moved this page to Hampton L. Carson, adding in the middle initial, since this is how he authored his many papers and this is how he seems to be most commonly referred to. (Do note the cited obituaries in the article all use the middle initial.) In addition, his name is identical to his grandfather's, who now has a WP page, so now
Hampton Carson is a redirect to
Hampton L. Carson, which is a dab page, and this HLC article is dabbed with (biologist).
