"The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 caused the celebration to be shut down." Seems to be in complete contradiction to "2006, the last year of the large organized street party." So when was the last year? 2019 or 2006? 76.126.58.108 ( talk) 22:40, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
This article has a lot of information that's not directly related to Halloween in the Castro. Nearly all of the History section would be more appropriate in articles about SF gay history and/or articles about the Tenderloin and Castro. I need to take a break, I've added the context and now it needs more details on what made the event special or notable and notable incidents and dates. -- Banjeboi 22:39, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

I suggest a re-write with a chronological structure.
If Children's Halloween and involvement of The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are difficult to work in chronologically, perhaps they could get special sections.
I think the Jose Sarria section should be removed (perhaps the existing article about her could be consulted to see if any information presently in this article should be added to her main article). It looks like her involvement was mostly in the 60s, when Halloween was in the Tenderloin. Perhaps another article could be created for Halloween in the Tenderloin.

The title of the article is Halloween in the Castro. An article about Halloween in the Tenderloin would an appropriate place for information about that subject. Andy54321 04:50, 31 October 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andy54321 ( talk • contribs)
This is not a quality article. It's a tangential mess. It needs to be reorganized and rewritten. I wanted to improve the article but I do not want to argue about stuff that makes no sense (even after others have agreed with me). I'm new to editing and I feel bullied and intimidated. This has totally turned me off. I give up. Yay for Wikipedia! Andy54321 09:25, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
