Do you think we should add something about her being unintentionally snubbed by Lea michele? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.55.170.113 ( talk) 02:36, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
"Jewish actress"? Surely just "actor"? 86.138.59.197 ( talk) 07:32, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
shouldn't here tv guest appereances be on here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.211.140.158 ( talk) 01:44, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
This is ridiculous, Turkish page of the actress is way more comprehensive than the English page. I'd make some edits, but whenever I do they are being undone, I guess I'm somehow not qualified as an editor. So someone who knows Turkish please go to http://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hailee_Steinfeld and add the info there to the page. -- 151.250.141.216 ( talk) 06:23, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
"Her father is Jewish[4] and her maternal grandfather is Filipino" I'm Jewish and find this offensive and inaccurate. "Jewish" is a religion and arguably a culture. "Filipino" is an nationality so this sentence discusses mentions her father's religion and her grandfather's ethnic background. Its a reasonable sentence to say her father is [ethic background] and [religion] and her grandfather is [ethnic background] and [religion]. But to mix apples and oranges is to suggest that "Jewish" is a nationality or ethnicity, which it isn't. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.102.229.129 ( talk) 00:23, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
It would be nice to know if SHE is Jewish. Why is it so hard to post the truth about people in the media? You might say her father is a German Jew or something like that for ethnicity. Otherwise, Jews should be considered Arabs or of middleastern descent. Anyways as the world becomes more mixed Wiki needs a solution to describing people.honestly thid isnt a place to complain. shut up 101.51.143.135 ( talk) 02:36, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
Data added to this or any article, particularly a biography of a living person, should pass Wikipedia's notability standards; otherwise it may be removed as fancruft. A friendship, for example, should have received significant coverage—a blurb in a fan magazine does not qualify and may not be verifiable anyway—and ideally should have resulted in a joint project, such as a film or song. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or refer to the guidelines I've linked here. — ATinySliver/ ATalkPage 23:06, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
For the purposes of her article, Ms. Steinfeld is not a "singer"—at least, not yet. A singer, in terms of occupational notability, is defined by New Oxford American Dictionary as "a person who sings, especially professionally" while, to date, she has released one song in conjunction with one film. Meantime, since Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, we also cannot say she will be a singer.
Per the above policies and such guidelines as WP:BLPLEAD and H:IB, any addition to the article of "singer" as an occupation or a point of notability must for the time being be reverted. — ATinySliver/ ATalkPage 21:26, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
What the hell is "African" and "European" descent? Marocco or Namibia? Norway or Greece. Stupid ignorant americans. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.80.182.68 ( talk) 09:59, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
I removed African and African American from ancestry/descent as this was just a rumor that has been verified as false by Steinfeld's rep to The Hollywood Reporter. See http://www.webcitation.org/5wwKoyjFg. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.99.13.18 ( talk) 20:00, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
I removed two references of articles written by Nate Bloom as well as info supported by those references due to proven lack of fact checking by that author. African American descent is known to be false - that is supported by a reliable source - see above. Caucasian is also asserted by Bloom so removed that as well. Added a reference to JewishJournal.com to support Jewish father - for this type of info it is a reliable source. 63.231.102.28 ( talk) 21:42, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

One thing that needs to be changed in the article is Jew is not a race. This article implies that it is. ( Sandvol) 9:10, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
@ SkrrtSkeetit: Please stop re-adding the picture in, it breaks copyvio policies since its not your own work and taken by your own camera. Instead, its extracted from a Youtube vid, so all rights are reserved there ( the evidence is right there?). You have already broken 3RR by reverting for a fourth time, so I urge you to stop edit warring and discuss here, else you'll be reported to the admins. Same goes for your contribs to the Alesso page, associated acts are not for one time collabs, else the parameter will be filled with names. Thank you. aNode (discuss) 15:43, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
At " Hailee Steinfeld interview. Radio NRJ. January 17, 2017. 2 minutes in. Retrieved June 20, 2019 – via YouTube." Steinfield states explicitly that she does not have a middle name. At " "Hailee Steinfeld". Encyclopedæa Brittanica." it is stated that she is also known as "Hailee Puring Steinfeld" but does not explicitly state that that is her legal name or birth name. This matches information on her page on IMDb bio written by Jaehun Han. We can't use IMDb bios as sources. The Brittanica entry is not a full article, just summary information and the aka can be from what is in IMDb. It is a tertiary source, normally trusted but we do have a primary source, her interview and own words, that conflicts with it. Given the conflict in sourcing and lack of importance in listing a middle name when it is contentious, I am removing it from the article. Geraldo Perez ( talk) 15:39, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
As of now Her actual height cannot be decided but in Wired Autocomplete review, when asked about her height, She said 5 ft. 7 in. Is that it? Kohcohf ( talk) 15:37, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
It says that she is 5 foot 8 but she is not she has said herself she is 5 foot 6 so someone who knows how to should edit her height 2A00:23C7:689E:DD01:CD15:2E79:B4E0:9BE1 ( talk) 06:25, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

She is not African-American, she is a mix of various ethnicities. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:BB6:6807:4600:6870:5ED2:3C63:853 ( talk) 08:09, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
Currently the article lists the character name as "Kate Bishop / Hawkeye". I changed that to just "Kate Bishop" with the rationale that it's a spoiler to reveal that Kate Bishop adopts the name Hawkeye since that isn't revealed until the very end of the first season of the show. Reading that here did indeed spoil the reveal for me. My edit was reverted by User:Maxwell King123321 with the rationale that the character name is the same in the comics. I'd argue that there's a large section of the MCU audience who don't know the comics, so it would be a surprise for many (I presume most) viewers of the show. The character name is also listed as just Kate Bishop on several authoritative sources, such as IMDB, Marvel themselves, and Disney+. Are those arguments persuasive at all, User:Maxwell King123321, and would anyone else have any thoughts of this? Thank you. JJC1138 ( talk) 06:11, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
