I'm not sure about this, but I do not believe that the Belgian naval ensign was used by the Belgian section, Royal Navy during the Second World War? Actually, photographic evidence (see here) shows the Belgian government flag ( - the lion and crown superimposed on the national flag) used as a naval ensign on HMS Buttercup. Changed to reflect this. -- Brigade Piron ( talk) 12:53, 3 July 2013 (UTC) reply
