Just curious why there has been a Game Cleanup template at the head of this article since July 2009 with no actual issues listed on the discussion page (nor obvious issues with the article itself, from what I can tell)?-- Chimino ( talk) 10:31, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

The article says "Edinburgh the home of Rockstar North, to Fife even although the road bridge is highly similar to the Golden Gate Bridge." ... dont you mean to say it is similar to the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge ??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.251.81.227 ( talk) 07:21, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

Hello, I've reverted a long list of all in-game vehicles which has been added twice by the same user (originally around 3 weeks ago). I feel this is an indiscriminate list which doesn't belong in article per the policy noted above, but wanted to see if I could gain consensus here. Thanks! Boogerpatrol ( talk) 16:26, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Should we need to have the country of Rockstar North on the article? It seems a bit pointless as it doesn't add anything to the article. TheDeviantPro ( talk) 14:56, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
From what I can see, it doesn't unnecessarily complicate anything, and it adds some information. The country of development isnt actually mentioned anywhere else in the article, which is a bit strange, even though it is in that category. If there isnt a problem having something there, and it adds information, why remove it? The fact that rockstar games is american and rockstar north is british is probably new to many people, especially as all (or almost all) of the GTA series are set in america. Benboy00 ( talk) 15:06, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
The point is it seems unimportant to included this as it doesn't add anything to the article, this article is not about Rockstar North this article is about Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas if people want to know about Rockstar North or Rockstar Games they should go to their articles. Loads of games have been set in another country then they are developed in (such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Assassin's Creed ect.) and their articles doesn't say that are developed "In Japan" or "In Canada" after mentioning the developer so why is mentioning the country of Rockstar North in this article is important?. TheDeviantPro ( talk) 01:56, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Comment/Suggestion I'm going to remove "In the United Kingdom" as it's trivia for Rockstar North and holds no real point to be included in the article unless it has some real significance to the game itself it might be better to mention that the series is made in the UK in the series article than in the game's article, that means we can keep out meaningless trivia out of the game's article to keep the article tidy and straight to the point. TheDeviantPro ( talk) 08:54, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
You don't seem to have really addressed my points. It doesn't negatively affect the readability of the article, and does not significantly increase the length. It is an interesting piece of information, for the reasons I stated before, and it looks like that is a good place for it. I also notice that you removed the content before editing this talk page. By all means feel free to add it to the games series page as well if you want. Benboy00 ( talk) 12:49, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
It's a piece of information that's not relevant to the game itself in anyway or add's anything significance for the article, from a point that you stated before "rockstar games is american and rockstar north is british is probably new to many people, especially as all (or almost all) of the GTA series are set in america" there are LOADS of games that is set in different country than where it's developed and nearly every (if not all) of those articles doesn't state the developers country in the articles itself so why is this article is different than any other huh?. It's a bit of trivia for Rockstar North not for the game, if people want to know where Rockstar North is, than they can go their page. P.S. it's already stated the company is based in Edinburgh in the setting section. TheDeviantPro ( talk) 14:37, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Video game cruft, largely unsourced article is not the subject of independent commentary. The few sources that I could find on the soundtrack/box set are enough to cover it adequately within its section of the game's article. And it can always expand out summary style. – czar 16:46, 27 September 2015 (UTC) – czar 16:46, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

Why does this page use British English instead of American or at very least international English? The article itself states that the game takes place in a fictional U.S. state. Sakura Cartelet Talk 22:06, 1 June 2017 (UTC)

@ GUtt01 and General Clanker: The current revision of the plot, while much shorter than previously, still contains 835 words—135 words (19%!) over the 700-word limit—which would warrant another {{ Long plot}} tag. Instead of fighting back-and-forth about what exactly should be included and how what is worded, please try to cooperate to create a plot summary that is both comprehensive and concise. Compare this to Red Dead Redemption 2, which plays almost twenty hours longer on average but still manages to fit its plot into 699 words. For example, some details, such as the celebration of "Mad Dogg's first Gold Record" seems completely trivial. The focus should be on the main story arc that the player follows to complete the game. IceWelder [ ✉] 16:11, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
@ IceWelder: Rather than suggest us to do this, you could amend the problem yourself. I've made a start, but if you think you can do a better job, than please feel free to do so. Like it says here on WP:BB - "Fix it yourself instead of just talking about it". The only thing I can say is that General Clanker may not be helping with his edits, that's the only thing I don't appreciate. GUtt01 ( talk) 16:14, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Hello fellow Wikipedians!
As some of you might know, I recently started doing some modifications on plots of games developed by Rockstar, mostly the Grand Theft Auto series. It's true that I used to make plots too long, but more recently I adjusted those of TLaD (which was too long) and TBoGT (which was kinda short), so make them a decent length, not too long nor too short (about 680-690 words each). I consider that this is the optimal length for a GTA game, which are known to have relatively long storylines, with many characters, each with their own storyline, going on at the same time. That's why I consider that San Andreas here needs only some more minor adjustments. All I want is to include several characters like Catalina, Salvatore Leone and Ken Rosenberg, for two reasons:
1. They appear in other GTA games, thus connecting San Andreas with the rest of the series.
2. They play an important role in their respective sections of the storyline, giving missions to the player (Catalina helps CJ rob some stores, CJ works for Salvatore in Las Venturas to earn the mob's trust before the robbery of their casino, and also works for Ken, who later helps CJ reestablish Madd Dogg's career).
Other then this there is no other addition I want to make (maybe other than The Truth, who is also a major character, working alongside CJ for Tenpenny, and later helping him open his garage in San Fierro). My last edit on this page was exactly this: I included these characters in the plot, while removing some other unnecessary parts to shorten it, so that it would stay under 700 words. My intentions are good and I sincerely apologize if I annoyed or upset anyone with my edits. I just want to write about the games I love and let others, who perphaps haven't played them, know a short version of their storyline, which is something I consider really hard work and I appreciate all those who do it, because its not easy to resume a 20 hours long story to just 700 words that take about 3-4 minutes to read. The stoylines are just what I always liked about the games made by Rockstar, and games in general. — Preceding unsigned comment added by General Clanker ( talk • contribs) 13:12, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
Edit: Seeing as to how I have gotten no response yet, I would like to add the fact that I don't wish to complicate or make the plot overdetailed in anyway. I just want to aknowlege these character's existence in the game and summarize their role in about 5 words each. I don't see how that would be harmful in any way, seeing as to how I would shorten other, less important ideas to make sure the plot respects the standard length of under 700 words.

At the end of the "Ambiance and searches" section, there's a missing word in the line "According to developer John Whyte, the map of San Andreas has an area of 36 square meters (13.9 square miles)." It should say "36 million square meters" 2601:8D:8600:1514:C48F:96BF:BFA9:288D ( talk) 03:36, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
