If he was born in wing 1963 and his first book was published when he was 14, wouldn't it have been published in 1977? Is his DOB wrong?oidoidosi

What gives? This guy's work is so funny I almost burst myself laughing back in the day, and this is all we have on him? For the life of me I can't figure out why some of his book haven't become films. The book series by Korman made too-many too-short sections ( recent version). Last week I created section 2 Works with subsections 2.1 Non-series books and 2.2 Series. The latter in two columns, comprising all the series under bold headings (not subsection headings), ordered by dates of their first volumes.
Today I moved Son of the Mob and SoM:HH (above) and The Hypnotist from Non-series books to Series, relying on LCCatalog and ISFDB, and added a listing for The Hypnotist #2, inferred from LCCat. See #The Hypnotist below. -- P64 ( talk) 19:53, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Titanic was a 3 part series written by, obviously, Gordon Korman. It is divided into 3 equal parts, each telling different chapters of the Titanic's first and last maiden voyage. But, this is not non-fiction, it's a historical-fiction series, that follows a large family of stowaways. In book 1, it tells on how they got on the Titanic. In book 2, it tells about how they find a serial killer on the Titanic...and they're his next target. And in book 3, it tells about they're final showdown with the killer, which takes place during the sinking. After the showdown, they then face the challenge of surviving the sinking, and the troubles they go through. This series got good critical reception, for they were well written, but there was controversy on how the series was written. The 3 book really could have been 1 350 page book, but instead he put it into 3 110 page books which are the same price of a 350 paged book. This has brought small controversy to a scandal taking place. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.86.55.164 ( talk) 20:42, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
Relying on ISFDB slightly and LCCatalog primarily I created series The Hypnotist under a new-today heading at the end of new-lastweek section 2.2 Series. It comprises two titles, one forthcoming.
The Hypnotists series is the first work by Korman that ISFDB catalogs as speculative fiction. [6]

It says 1963 on the left in the intro sentence.
It says 1962 on the right in the info box.
Which is correct? 174.92.133.241 ( talk) 04:42, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

An editor has been removing the category "child author" from this page, which I've now re-added twice. Kormon wrote his first book at the age of 12, according to the page. The editor is claiming on his talk page that "We must never use the word "child" to refer to anyone of at least 11 years of age." Based on the wikipedia child page, and common sense, child author means someone who wrote a book before the age of majority, which in most places is the age of 18. I'm not sure how a 12 year old author can't be categorized as a child author. FuriouslySerene ( talk) 16:45, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
