The link has been removed, because the page it directed to contains an order form for purchasing the book. Per #5 of
WP:ELNO, individual web pages that primarily exist to sell products or services, or to web pages with objectionable amounts of advertising, should not be posted. The updated link that the COI editor proposed using does not contain the order form — rather, it contains a list of books. However, one must click on the subject's book from the list in order to learn more about it, and it is on that page that the order form exists.
