The reference I've added only confirms that 282 sailors were killed but does not mention how many survived. However, 60 could be correct as crew figures on war ships do vary after all.

I had a few minor points, but it was nothing major so I went ahead and fixed them myself. Passing the article for GA with these fixes in mind. There aren't any dab links or external links, and the references all appear to be in order. —

Picture
The main photo seems to be of the Paul Jakobi which is 1934A class recognisable by having the step-down in the hull slightly further aft of the forefunnel but the smaller photos are the Leberecht Maas. I don't know how to fix this. --
