I've noticed a couple apparent discrepancies in the dates listed in this article:
1) Date of Birth: George Liele (also spelled Lisle or Leile, c. 1750–1820) vs. Liele was born into slavery in Virginia in 1752
2) When did Liele become a Christian / As an adult he was converted by Rev. Matthew Moore of Burke County, Georgia, in 1777 but Liele was licenced to preach by Baptists in Georgia in 1773. It seems unlikely that he would be licensed (also spelling in the article needs to be changed) four years before he became a Christian (converted).
I myself am very unfamiliar with George Liele and want to learn more. But I think these apparent discrepancies need to be changed so people can get an accurate view of his life. Thanks & God Bless!
