Check facts against Stopp 2009 and Story 2003 [1983]
Cartwright was not primarily an explorer, and trader may not be the best way to describe him either, e.g. he was an army officer and a merchant in the Newfoundland trade.
Add summary paragraph at top.
edit: "John" --> "John Cartwright"
Caubvick -- spin off into her own article b/c a diversion in the Cartwright biography.
There are a few spots of what looks like original research here. In particular
the part about Cartwright's love of Labrador until his death (which I agree with, but it doesn't have a citation.)
"He had an unparalleled love for Labrador until his death, writing: Fish, Fowl and Ven'son, now our tables grace / Roast Beaver too, and e'ery Beast of Chase. / Luxurious living this! who'd wish for more? / Were QUIN alive, he'd haste to Labrador"
the part of Dominick Kinnien entering with John Grimes (which I largely agree with, but there are a few problems with this claim, e.g. by then Kinnien was working for another merchant, not Cartwright. The main thing is, a citation could sort all this out. It might be discussed in Cadigan 2009.)
"This came about when his servant Dominick Kinnien defected to join the crew of the Bostonian John Grimes."
