This article states that
Guillaume Henri Dufour served as the Federal General of Switzerland three times in his career: beginning in 1849, 27 December 1856, and 1859. However, the article
Swiss Armed Forces states that he served twice in his career: 1847–1848 and 1856–1857. There are at least two discrepancies between these two articles. Additionally, this article does not cite any source, and the one source that the other article cites can only be accessed if one is subscribed. Even worse, Dufour's own article does not mention his two/three terms as general at all. Some help would be greatly appreciated. --
