Alright I'll just ask
Why would the last name 'elephant' appear outside of Africa or Asia? By the time exotic animals were brought to other countries, weren't people pretty much done creating new last names, since everybody had one and you only get one from your dad instead of your job or where you came from like in olden, pre-elephant-contact times? — Preceding
