Gaff (cross-dressing) → Gaff (clothing) – The term transgender comes up more often in Google search than crossdressing. Clothing seems more apt. 88.104.40.54 ( talk) 16:22, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
In Nazi Germany, gaffs were sold underground under the name "Suspensorium genitalis".
("The suspensorium genitalis is a special bandage to cover the male genitals, as it is similarly worn by performers" )
The source also describes how the seamstress, as well as her customers faced persecution under the Nazi regime.
