I have found no information containing the release of this game to the PS3. Has anyone else found any? :^) §†SupaSoldier†§ 02:31, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
That can pretty easily be photo-shopped in by a fan of the series that owns a PS3...Has any one found Hard evidence or a cited reference. §†SupaSoldier†§ 19:44, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Their is news circulating the internet the ps3 version has been cancelled because it does not apper on the gamestop or ebgames website, the ps3 logo on the website has no link unlike the xbox and thq one, and i called gamestop and the guy told me he only saw it coming for the 360 on his computer, i don't wanna say it is confirmed but should we at lease add a article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.74.81.83 ( talk) 21:58, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
This source is not an accurate source. http://www.videogamer.com/news/23-01-2008-7328.html No sources or anything. No press release from THQ. Nothing.
This source, is THQ1. An accurate source. http://www.thq.com/games/gameinfo.php?id=1282&upc=99021 Until this website changes Frontlines is not canceled or if there is a press release. I am reverting the article.-- WhereAmI ( talk) 01:28, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
The article is just a copy/paste of the website. This is clearly advertising and it should be removed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Muldoon X9 ( talk • contribs) 23:24, 2 March 2007 (UTC).
The company has not set an exact release date for this game. It has only said February 2008 at this time. Retailers are listing a variety of release dates but none of them are confirmed.
Mjayg ( talk) 20:03, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
No release date has been released by the company or given to the media or retailers. They are speculating and are incorrect. The countdown timer on exeoinc.com is incorrect. I am the Community Manager for the company and have linked to the Kaos Studios FAQ where this is stated. The official THQ page also has no release date beyond "coming soon".
Mjayg ( talk) 04:01, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
The official website has "coming soon" and the FAQ on the Kaos Studios site says "February 2008" as I linked to yesterday. This is speculation on the part of the sites you referenced.

I've enabled email on my account and put in my THQ email. Not sure whatever proof you need but what happened to "be polite" and "assume good faith"? Whether you believe who I am or not, I'm telling you the company has not announced a release date which can easily be verified. Just because the media or retailers put up a date does not make it a fact. The company has not announced a release date beyond February 2008 is a verifiable fact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mjayg ( talk • contribs) 14:29, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Edit warring isn't going to solve the problem. I've confirmed that Mjayg is really KaosMitch, the community manager. I think both of your points should be included in the article. No official release date has been announced, but several sites report Feb 25. -- pb30< talk> 19:12, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Regardless of the policies, the entry on this game is still incorrect. The media and retailers speculate on a release date until one is announced and if you look at sites other than IGN and Gamespot there are many different dates listed. I'm telling you as a representative of the developer and publisher of the game we have not announced a release date any more specific than February 2008 and the official site (www.frontlines.com) and THQ's site list no release date beyond "coming soon" or "available now" (for pre-order). As for your statement "to say explicitly on his site that there is no release date" - the Kaos Studio FAQ that I have linked to previously lists "February 2008" as the release date and states that no specific date has been announced. mjayg ( talk) 05:41, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Oh hey look. It was released the 25th. Funny that. Mental note: it makes no sense to pretend you don't have a release date when your game has gone gold, and it's 3 weeks before the alleged release. ⇒ SWATJester Son of the Defender 04:16, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
I've looked at the article, and it doesn't mention a single player story. Is this game more like Star Wars Battlefront or an ordinary FPS? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.199.222.64 ( talk) 15:44, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
shouldn't there be some mention of the similarities of halo universe and this game i mean from what i just saw on a comercial i saw a hornet and many similarities between halo and this game —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.159.197.82 ( talk) 02:28, 26 February 2008 (UTC) I think the Hornet like thing looks like a DRONE, not a vehicle. Air vehicles are fighters and UH-60s for Americans! (I don't have a clue as to what the Russian air vehicles are.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.199.222.64 ( talk) 16:27, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
games all steal for eachother and halo didn't come up with all of its own ideas, so it isn't article worthy plus it is only your opinion —Preceding

Would it be possible to create a section detailing the multiplayer issues that are being experienced by some players.-- EnemyDone ( talk) 12:58, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes, someone should also include the issues that huge numbers of Vista (also some XP) users are having with even starting the game. It simply won't run, for inexplicable reasons, on many computers. ---- AF 3-18-08
Really, how relevant is this whole section? It just appears to be a piece of pop culture trivia that has little actual importance to the game in any substantial way. I very strongly suggest it be completely removed. ( Washboardplayer ( talk) 10:54, 1 April 2008 (UTC))
That whole section doesn't seem nuetral to me. SkullZero ( talk) 22:55, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Should the main boxart image be cropped to exclude the Xbox 360 banner? It seems unneccesary. -- Simpsons fan 66 01:08, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
This just seems to be a website's preview of the game that doesn't mention details that are critically missing. There isn't any mention of game modes, is there only one? This should be rewritten by someone who has played the game, and can provide details on the plot, weapon lists, vehicle lists, levelling up, etc. I'd like to know how this game works. Do you level up Call of Duty style and get access to roles, guns, etc. as you go, is it a purchase system like Counter-Strike or Quantum of Solace where you buy what you want and ignore what you don't, or is it something else? Does health regenerate like Call of Duty or does it come from "pickups" or "self-heals" like Battlefield? Is there sway on sniper scopes like most modern FPS's? So many unanswered questions. As a whole, this review should be an objective encyclopedic entry instead of a review or advertisement.

It was a scheduled downtime to upgrade them, and they are back up, as I am currently playing on the KAOS ranked servers right at this moment. Edited to remove the misinformed info. --Sunyavadin —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.98.210.64 ( talk) 11:28, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
As of latest GameTap now has Frontlines for their premium subscribers. Maybe add a note for people who want to try it on the cheap. :-) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sparcdr ( talk • contribs) 23:14, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
I have added them under the developer category since they were hired by THQ to work with KAOS on the game and also had created the Frontlines: Fuel of War Multiplayer Demo. -Vincetti ( talk) 22:16, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
"The game also contains some political commentary on how much wars cost in terms of fuel; how in certain occasions it can be more than the actual amount secured. It is also interesting to note the gung-ho mentality of the Western Coallition; zealous and blind to the war's effects. Hints of fanatical militarism can be picked up from in-game commentary and the unconventional objectives making one wonder if the cause is entirely just. Nor does the Western Coallition seem to hesitate in taking down massive amounts of armed civilians as they tear through ruins in Moscow. It brings reminescence to such media as Starship Troopers. However, it is uncertain whether the developers intended the game to be a subtle anti-war statement by means of in-game dialogue and with a less-than-subtle pro-imperialist portrayal of the Western Coallition, or if they simply haven't thought this through. The prior seems more likely if one is to acknowledge various hints and pointers dropped, such as a soldier's questioning as to why they always end up in the desert, the constant build-up of aggression displayed by the protagonists in both demeanor and narration, disregard for humanity (a hypothetical example could be the dropping of tactical nukes on their own forces in order to instigate further promotion of the war against the Red Star Alliance) and the loudspeakers in the final mission claiming the invaders are fighting an unlawful and immoral war halfway across the world against a union that strives for global interest as opposed to the Western Coallition's ideals for their own society which would mean "the death of the human species." The Reporter seems to hold a neutral aura amidst the two sides as a buffer for thought to the player, i.e.: Upon completing a mission in Russia, he notes the exceptional death and destruction caused by the Western Alliance, to which a soldier narcissistically replies: "Yep, mission accomplished." This could be a reference to the infamous speech given by George W. Bush in 2003. The name Stray Dogs could also imply the fact that soldiers are blindly sent to war by warmongering commanders and greedy governments."
