A fact from Friendly Floatees spill appeared on Wikipedia's
Main Page in the Did you know column on 18 November 2006. The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that the travels of a shipment of 29,000 Friendly Floatees bath toys lost overboard in the
Pacific in 1992 have been used to model the world's ocean currents?
That isn't a picture of the floaties? That picture is pretty clearly a seal a fish and a pig? According to one article I read the beaver is supposed to be red... that red thing is not a mammal.
Also Floaties were written about in Harper's January 2007 "Moby Duck: The Incredible Ocean Voyage or 20,000 Bath Toys" by Donovan Hohn

– These two articles are not about the toys and the ship respectively, but instead about specific spilling incidents. Since the articles are about the spills, they should be renamed to reflect that fact. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (

Oppose move of Hansa Carrier - article about the ship could be improved, e.g. by the addition of a description and a career section, which the spill should be part of.
