Is all wrong. I'm changing it. "The famous," "the Big Apple," etc. do not belong on Wikipedia. They are colloquialisms. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.57.101.3 ( talk) 05:13, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
The unsigned comments above express appropriate sentiment regarding the tone of the article, but deletion is unwarranted. Bentley, thought previously a personal assistant for Diddy, is now a significant hip hop artist in his own right, with a new album under the G.O.O.D. label, a featured spot with the track C.O.L.O.U.R.S. in Kanye West's recent "Can't Tell Me Nothing" mixtape, and prominence in major news outlets, including the New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2004/03/21/fashion/21UMBR.html?ex=1395205200&en=8f66fde94fc83b72&ei=5007&partner=USERLAND. The posts above seem to take issue with the quality of Bentley's work, but the fact that Bentley is a prominent figure is sufficient to warrant a Wikipedia page, and the above poster's personal musical preferences are not relevant. This is not an accusation of a crime. This is a discussion about whether or not we should discuss the possibility of adding Fonzworth Bentley as a possible suspect in Wallace's murder. Many people point out the similarity between Bentley and the police composite sketch as seen below:
Exhibit A, Biggie's murderer's composite sketch: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/76/Composite-of-BIG-shooting-suspect.jpg
Exhibit B, Bentley's new show: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:From_gstogents.jpg

It doesn't look like a reliable news source. It looks like someone's personal blog. What are that person's credentials? The piece makes no mention that the police consider Bentley a suspect. It does mention, however, that "the case was officially closed in 2005." Nightscream ( talk) 17:50, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Every link I find on wikipedia pointing to this article lists Bentley's given name as Derek Watkins. Perhaps some mention of this should be in the article? Is it a source verification problem? -- 72.177.83.171 ( talk) 08:31, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

I agree with the lack of an edit button comment. I was told that this gentleman (by-the-way--VERY handsome photograph...I never looked at him seriously...he always was "in character" to me, personally, but he looks QUITE handsome, and very much someone to be taken seriously) was [is] a graduate of the VERY prestigious Historically Black College, Morehouse, in Atlanta, GA (which by-the-way is also Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s alma mater as well). I have yet to look this up online, but I remember a gentleman telling me this in 2004, and being visibly offended at Mr. Bentley's decision, as a college graduate of such a prestigious school, to work as a "butler" for Sean "P.Diddy/Puffy" Combs (by-the-way (and this will be me LAST 'by-the-way,' by-the-way) I have no problem with/I don't see ANYTHING wrong with (i.e. dishonorable with) a man, performing a REAL man's honest job, such as being a butler, or a janitor, or fast-food worker, et cetera, especially in a day where the media and kids and adults worldwide regard drug-dealers, pimps, and other societal miscreants (and I can look down, personally on NO-ONE, but it's NOTHING to be boasted or bragged of...selling another person's life-up-the-river...but hey...,) as figures to be looked up to (I guess that's until those "cool," "rich," "hustlers," destroy YOUR neighborhood, or "turn-out" YOUR daughter (or even more sadly, YOUR son....I just wanted to state that for the record). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.152.1.183 ( talk) 02:48, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

This really is the Article that Time Forgot. Does it really still need protection at this point? It's from way back in 2009 and he's far less relevant nowadays. sixtynine • speak up • 05:40, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
