Prose

Lead + quick facts

First of all, I don't understand the concept of having two infoboxes in the lead. I know these are two different version but they can always be dissected into sections, see " Blank Space" (and " Blank Space (Taylor's Version)").

I noticed you refer to Jamie Lynn Spears as Spears. However, there another Spears in the picture, so for clarity you can refer to them as Jamie Lynn and Britney Spear per this source

In the infobox, it states that" Follow Me (Zoey 101)" was written by eight people, but no source checks out this claim. Apple Music credits states that it was written by Henrik Jonback only (others are credited as composers), and it was produced by Chantel Jeffries (others are assistants).

Note that, information in the infobox must be referenced in the body of the article always.

With Jamie Lynn Spears on vocals, she and her older sister Britney Spears wrote and recorded the song in 2004 ==> With Jamie Lynn Spears on vocals, she and her elder sister Britney Spears wrote and recorded the song in 2004

Background and release

Do not forget to differentiate between the Spears

Spears was originally too nervous to record the song, but after encouragement from her older sister, she felt comfortable singing. ==> Jamie Lynn was nervous when recording "Follow Me", but after encouragement from her elder sister, Britney Spear, she gained confidence.

Despite the song being very popular among fans, it was never commercially released. ==> "Follow Me" was never commercially released, despite being popular among fans.

An instrumental version of the song was released on the shows soundtrack album Zoey 101: Music Mix on March 7, 2006. ==> An instrumental version of "Follow Me" was released as part of the show's soundtrack album, Zoey 101: Music Mix, on March 7, 2006.

Throughout the article, replace the song with "Follow Me" or "Follow Me (Zoey 101)" just to kill the confusion. It is draining the life out of me to have to check with the source every time I'm dealing with prose.

Spears had wanted to rewrite the lyrics of "Follow Me (Zoey 101)" due to writing the original as a young child. ==> Jamie Lynn rewrote and updated the lyrics to "Follow Me (Zoey 101)" because she was experiencing a different stage of life when she wrote "Follow Me" at age twelve.

Quick fail

After going through the article for the third if not the fourth time, I truly think this article is far from meeting GA status. Two versions or should I say two songs are discussed as if they are the same thing. Taking reference from " Blank Space", " Bad Blood" or any other Taylor's Version, they are adequately distinguished to kill any kind of confusion. Further more, content is not adequately referenced which makes it even harder to verify if it's OR or not. Again, there are two Spears in the picture, Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears, but they are all referred to as Spears. I think this article needs to be rewritten before it can be re-nominated for reviewal. My apologies for failing this nom halfway through the reviewal process, I'd be happy to re-review it once it's improved. dxneo ( talk) 01:19, 2 July 2024 (UTC) reply
