There seems to be edit wars in regards to the differences of the original FFVII and the remake. I would say that the we should avoid noting this and instead write something neutral unless Nomura or a website discuss it. I think Sephiroth's appearance has already been discussed in the Ultimania so I suggest leaving the differences only for premise and making of the game.

Agreed. Anything that isn’t understood by basic observation (“Cloud walked over to his motorcycle”) should not be included unless there is a source verifying it. The “plot sections don’t need sources” rule only applies to very basic, obvious observations, not anything not explicitly stated. So unless the game opens with a header stating “Here we are in an alternate timeline” it’s not appropriate to add without a reliable source.

Judgesurreal777: There seems to be good enough real world information but it might need some retouches like
Final Fantasy XV's reception section. I'm not quite an expert but the easiest thing is dividing the critics in paragraphs that that focus on different aspects of the game. The current one used here is Gameplay (first paragraph) and narrative (second). If critics focus on other aspects like voice acting or overall prensentation then it could be expanded. Probably my biggest attempt to follow these types of reception section is with
this but RPG is completely different. Protodrake and PresN might provide some advices considering their contributions to Square Enix articles.

Judgesurreal777: It looks nice to me so feel free to nominate it. Since some parts of the plot are hard to reference due to the amount of dialogue, I would say simply add reference with every chapter rather than quotes.

I saw a few missing words here and there, so a copyedit or similar is likely required. Otherwise it seems like a good GA candidate, since it's probable that the remake may extend over several articles as well as several games. --

Sorry
Judgesurreal777, the more I futz with this article, the more I think it has some structural and comprehensiveness issues that wouldn't pass at GA. I'm going to boldly un-nominate it and work on it some more over the next few. I think the unorthodox "Premise" section is a good idea but it could go further and I want to run with that.

Asking the guild of copyeditors for help?
Not planning to nominate it, but wouldn't it be nice to have
the CE guild copyedit? I mean, this might be one of the most popular game articles from the year so a lot of people visit it. However, I can't ask for a copyedit since I already left two requests there.

Artbook
There is already an English artbook previewed
here but I can't read a think other than the character artist is apparently named Yuki or something. Might be also helpful to other characters articles if we can find a bigger preview.

Yes, agreed, it's worth a mention with the proper context, though to expand on what Tintor said, "Wario64" is not what Wikipedia considers to be a reliable source. You'd want to find more of an
IGN or
Eurogamer type website reporting on it.

That does make sense as a qualifier. Haven't found any sources outside of the tweet, so I suppose it'll have to wait. Thanks for chiming in! --

Maybe eventually, but there's definitely not enough for all three separate articles yet. There's virtually nothing known about the third title. A second article for Rebirth is possible. Not entirely sure if they revealed enough for a spin out yet or not.

"Fastest selling FF game surpassing FFXV"
This is factually wrong and the source linked doesn't even say that. XV sold/shipped 5 million in its first day. Remake sold/shipped 3.5 in its first three days, reaching 5 million months later, per Square Enix. The source for that statement does say, from NPD, "set a new launch month Final Fantasy franchise sales record in both unit and dollar sales". This is specifically talking about sales specifically in North America and how much the dollar amount returns from VII remake. This was added by the deluxe edition which sold very well. IGN, incorrectly, conflated this data to mean it had sold/shipped more copies in the same time XV did, which is factually wrong.
