I changed "females" to "women" in the first paragraph, since I don't feel that "heterosexual females" is really an accurate descriptor of Filament's target audience. As I understand it:
It's not for little girls
It's not for non-human females (eg., zebras, giraffes)
It's not for heterosexual trans men, who would prefer images of women
It *is* for heterosexual trans women, as well as heterosexual cis women.
"Heterosexual" might not be the best word, either, since it's still very much appropriate for women who are bi, pan, etc., but I couldn't think of a way to put that without getting too jargony. Cheers!

You're quite right. It is for women-who-like-men, not just 'straight women'. Although at the same time, it is not for anyone-attracted-to-men as it makes a point of being aimed at women, not, say, gay men. A neat term for women-who-like-men needs to be found, really. Would "straight and bisexual women" be too limiting, or just about apt, do you think?

Expansion
In the future with the publications of subsequent filament issues, it would be good to have some statistics on the sales of the magazine, readership by country and sex (as playgirl did have a significant gay readership) and so on. But for now I think this is all that we can put up for Filament so as of now the article is pretty complete and up-to-date.
