I remember reading this as a kid. But I'm pretty sure it was in a magazine or maybe a school text book, and not a compilation of Bradbury stories. Is there any way to find out where all this story has been published in the past?

Themes and interpretation: this section is original research
This section, while reasonable (I for example agree with the first paragraph about a child's mistrust of adults) is outside the scope of Wikipedia. We do not do literary analysis here. It also smells of original research, which is frowned upon. I will remove it in a few days, unless someone finds a way to re-work it as something backed by references... and references to scifi and Bradbury's work, not irrelevant medical articles.
