My interpretation of the earlier "nonsense" is a request for someone to write some content on
This seems a reasonable request, for someone who knows this field. Walkerma 15:19, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
This article states that the carbon chain length is 8 to 22, which is true but may be too specific. Other sources such as McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Term (referenced on http://www.reference.md/files/D005/mD005233.html) detail that chain length can be as low as 4. Please let me know if you think this would be a worthy note to include in this article. Thank you. JBDJ2833 ( talk) 17:58, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
The table in this section does not match the text. The text says that shorter chain length is more toxic, but the table shows higher toxic thresholds for shorter chains. 152.5.254.22 ( talk) 21:03, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
There are too many statements of supposed fact on this page for me to sift through the literature about them all, but there is a significant lack of sources attributed to claims. I could go about removing the claims but I
a) don't really care
and
b) don't want to make this page a stub
Pages with a lot of scientific understanding required tend to have a lot of misinformation, some that I've corrected in the past (see my edit history), so I get it, but regardless thorough sourcing is important to prevent misinformation regarding matters of scientific consensus. 47.17.135.189 ( talk) 13:03, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
