This article was recently modified with the following changes, making the article closer in format to similar pages 1990 Plainfield tornado, 1996 Oakfield tornado, and 2007 Elie, Manitoba tornado:
These modifications were reverted by ChessEric, stating to make changes at userspace page User:ChessEric/June 20–23, 1957 tornado outbreak sequence instead, and that I "didn't get approval to do this".
If I'm not mistaken, this goes against wiki spirit - namely, "Respect for freedom and equality among Wikipedia users in editing the page." With the exception of pages that are protected and thus requests need to be made by non- admins, there is no approval process for edits on Wikipedia, and all are welcome and encouraged to improve articles immediately.
Politics aside, I'd like to open discussion on these modifications to hear input from others on these changes.-- immewnity 23:45, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
