Alma Rosé and other controversial features
Instead of "negative portrayal of Alma Rosé" we should write something like "perceived negative ...", because there is no real contradiction between Lasker and Fénélon, only the latter disagrees (respectfully!) with Rosés policy of utmost compliance ("Erfüllungspolitik"). Neither does Lasker deny the sex-related passages of the Fénélon's book, she only critisizes them as staining the remembrance of victims. The book contains a couple of errors due to lapses of memory, but seems undisputed in its basic accurateness. --

References needed
This article, the article on the orchestra itself, and the articles on
Anita Lasker-Wallfisch and
Alma Rosé are all very short on independent authoritative references. Of the few sources mentioned that might be cited more extensively, most are first person accounts, one of them novelized, giving the persons and events the aura of legend rather than historical fact. —Preceding
