COI
In
this edit of 30 May 2020,
Monkeydesigner removed a conflict of interest tag that had been attached in
this edit of 3 April 2020 by
AngusWOOF. Monkeydesigner did this with no comment, let alone explanation.
When AngusWOOF attached the tag to it, the draft had been edited by
CharlottePonzio alone. CharlottePonzio had never edited any other draft or article. She has since returned to this article and edited it further. She still has never edited any other article (or any talk page, etc).
Yes, and this seems a pity. Back in April,
QueerEcofeministwrote that the draft "reads like an advertisement"; either it has improved since then or I made an error of judgement and it hasn't. When the article can be shown to be free of COI, then the COI tag can be removed. But not before. --

Hello there, the page has actually changed a lot, since
QueerEcofeminist wrote that it read like an advertisement, for example initially there was a link to the publishers (Thames&Hudson) website and even the Amazon page, and now further descriptive information on Herta Muller (that she is a Nobel Prize winner) has been removed. Many things have been resolved with your help, however please let me know if there is anything else that goes against the COI. I did indeed open the page and was waiting for it to come to people's attention in order for it to be worked on to the Wikipedia standard. Added at 11:06, 12 August 2020 by

Thank you for responding,
CharlottePonzio; but unfortunately I don't fully understand what you're saying. A simple question to start: Are you related to Fabio Ponzio? (If the answer is "yes", you don't have to say what the relationship is.) --

Good morning
Hoary. Yes, I am related to Fabio Ponzio. Excuse me but when I opened up the Wikipedia page on Fabio Ponzio I did not know about the rules concerning the Coi. I have always been in good faith, in fact I signed with my name and surname. On the page I have tried to provide only objective and verified information in compliance with the Wikipedia community standards. --

Thank you for making this clear. I agree that your work on the article has been beneficial. The article should be developed further, if possible; but as it stands, it's not promotional. ¶ Wikipedia requests (but doesn't require) that you do two things. First, that you post
Template:Connected contributor at or near the top of this talk page. (The method is explained
here; I'd be happy to do it for you if you prefer.) Secondly, that you stop editing this article and instead post any suggestions for the article to this talk page. Various editors (including me) will have this article (and therefore its talk page as well) on their "watchlists", so we're likely to notice it if you post a message here. But if we don't seem to notice, you'd be welcome to nudge me more directly by posting a short message to
my own talk page. --

Hoary thank you for kindly proposing this solution. If you think it necessary then I'm happy for you to go ahead and add the
Template:Connected contributor. As you have said I will no longer edit or contribute to this article - in the case that there is any new information I will communicate it to this page and then to you directly if necessary. Thank you again for your help. All the best with your work and Wikipedia. --

It's certainly beneficial; I've added it. ¶ I hope that Actes Sud does bring out the French-language edition of the book, and that this will help bring more reviews and other material that can help to amplify this article. --

Dear
Hoary I am letting you know two updates for the page, as agreed above. East of Nowhere was shortlisted for the Lucie Awards and the French addition of the book has also been released on the 3rd of February 2021 - Actes Sud. There is also an article on Photo-Eye to add. Best. --

AngusWOOF, thanks for the nudge. I'd be happy to do this, if doing so would be OK with you. (After all, it was you who flagged it in the first place.) --

The French-language version of his book is due to appear (from Actes Sud) in February '21: À l'est de nulle part. But let's wait till it does appear before adding a mention of it to the article. --
