I’ve noticed a series of editors adding and removing Romania to the provisional list and to the returning countries section. There is no ref currently. What’s going on there? Colin.1678 ( talk) 09:18, 25 June 2024 (UTC) reply

Good evening @ IceWelder, I'm taking the liberty of writing to you here because I've seen that you've withdrawn my addition concerning the decision on whether or not Bulgaria's participation in Eurovision 2025 would be taken and announced in September 2024 on the grounds that the source is a fan blog. It's true that my first source was Eurovisionfun, which is a fan blog, but they're only broadcasting information provided by the official X account of Bulgarian broadcaster BTN. As such, I think that the X post on the official BTN account has a certain reliability. I've also added as another source an article from ESCPORTUGAL, a Portuguese media outlet specialized in Eurovision and recognized by the EBU, so this time it's not just a fan blog but a fairly reliable source. 77.198.50.49 ( talk) 22:25, 26 June 2024 (UTC) reply

The account regularly posts misinformation to a degree that some community members are questioning whether it even is a legitimate account. A quick Google reveals a community thread with many similar opinions stemming from the X post you are referencing. At this point, I don't think we should mention it because the mere root source is unreliable. Not by itself, not via other unreliable sources. EurovisionFun is a known unreliable rumour mill; ESC Portugal, at first glance, also looks like another fan blog (and all posts are by the same person). Cyprus has confirmed participation to another, more reliable source now so they should be re-added.
