I can see no source for the claims that the bids of the cities who have registered an interest are dependent on these stadia, and in some cases (Bristol, Nottingham) they plainly are not based on the stadia named. Where is the reliable source in which it is stated that these stadia are being put forward? Kevin McE ( talk) 16:23, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
I've removed this from the main 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup bids page today:
You can decide whether or not to include it here. Neither article seems to mention any effect on the World Cup bid.-- Patrick { oѺ∞} 16:56, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

According to the BBC only London, Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool have submitted bids including more than one host stadium. Is it safe to officially remove the mythical City of Birmingham Stadium from the running? -- Villafancd ( talk) 00:53, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Within sections of the Austrian and USA Wiki pages for their World Cup bids, there are mentions of stadia that didn't make the final list for that countries 2018/2022 bid. Does anyone wish to give me a reason why I should not go ahead and do the same for England's bid? IanCleverly ( talk) 02:31, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
With the English bid, Portsmouth, Hull, Derby and Leicester were also aiming to host World Cup matches, and I was just wondering whether it would be worth just adding (underneath the venues section) that these cities would've been used in the bid until they were removed from the final set of stadia in December 2009 IanCleverly ( talk) 11:45, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Hi, I understand England has retired their bid for the 2022 World Cup after the United States did the same with their 2018 bid, therefore they will only be competing for the 2018 world cup; this page should be moved to English 2018 FIFA World Cup Bid -- 189.216.206.123 ( talk) 17:26, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Newsweek has uncovered evidence in alleged bribe scandal regarding votes for 2022 and 2018 world cup, Newsweek has reported that it has highly placed source who confirmed that World Cup votes were rigged so as to make that there was a a fair play in voting process when Qatar and Russia won the their subsequent votes, but the truth is quite the opposite, Newsweek alleges that for instance Qatar has bribed 10 Fifa officials = with 10 million US dollar bribe each, Newsweek has also stated that it'll be publishing whole story in due course, Sepp Blatter is among Fifa officials that have been bribed, if allegations prove to be true, Septic Bladder and all other fifa officials involved in vote bribe scandal could face criminal charges and long spell in prison if found guilty. http://offthebench.nbcsports.com/2010/12/14/jonathan-alter-qatar-may-have-paid-10-mil-for-each-fifa-vote/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.220.53.72 ( talk) 04:05, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
