The romanisation of Enperuto is questionable as there is no source cited for it. The E on the end doesn't really make much sense either.
Can someone justify the change from Emperuto to Emperte?

- Emperte is the trademarked romaji given at
http://www1.ipdl.ncipi.go.jp/syutsugan/TM_AREA_A.cgi, which is a Japanese trademark database.

- Remember that Wikipedia is not a place for speculation. We try to be as factually accurate as possible here, and it wouldn't be very good to have us say "such-and-such's name is thus", only to have it later revealed that "such-and-such's name is actually this". This may be speculation, but it might make sense for Nintendo of America to incorporate the trident or something related to the god Poseidon with this Pokemon.

It seems to me that this pokemon resembles some boss from the MegamanX series, but I frogot it's name and I can't find it because all of the pictures were removed in the megaman boss lists. I know for a fact that it isn't Chill Penguin, but I know there was another penguin boss somewhere or it could just be me 66.42.133.209 17:12, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
According to Gamespot's hand's on of Pokemon Battle Rev, they reported the english name of Empoleon I'm going to move this file to Empoleon
However I'm aware that the name Empoleon could be for the second stage and not Emperte, but as you will read in the article after saying Empoleon it says penguin and then decides it riding a huge wave and clashing into two other opponents which was a Japanese screenshot of Emperte.

- the screen shot in question is not on the article but it is on the serebii's page of screenshots, but if you read it clearly states that either the second stage or Emperte is Empoleon the japanese screenshot of Emperte riding a wave helps with it being Empoleon.

- Try that little mark next to the "M" key called the "comma" a little more next time. :) It makes it easier to see what you're trying to say.
- It would make sense for it to be Emperte's name (Bonaparte's supposedly where the "-rte" came from) rather than Pottaishi's, but considering that GameSpot themselves said that the game was still in Japanese, I'm a little skeptical (considering they didn't even know Rapidash's name, referring to it as a "flaming unicorn"). GameSpot's certainly higher on the reputability rank than Serebii though, and it does make perfect sense as a name, so I'm not really against changing the article (after all, there's also the chance that they asked the name, and that someone told them). It actually seems like a slip-up on Nintendo's part to me - I'd figure Ninteno would want to reveal all three of the names at once, and info leaked through GameSpot is hardly the way Nintendo usually prefers to break its big news. ~e.o.t.d~ ( 蜻蛉の目• 話す• 貢献) 00:30, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
