Error
The US military say "flight test", not "test flight." This should be changed.
Added promotion to Colonel
I added a sentence to show that he was posthumously promoted to Colonel.
Checked the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor and could not find Ellison Onizuka listed. Can the awarding of the Purple Heart to him for the Challenger accident be verified? The Purple Heart is reserved for injuries or death caused by enemy action in a declared combat zone or by special decision such as those injured during the 9/11 attacks (Pentagon was not a combat zone until it was attacked). Seems strange that Col. Onizuka would have received the Purple Heart for his death aboard Challenger. —Preceding
