South Broad Street Bridge is vehicular bridge over the Elizabeth River in Midtown Elizabeth, the county seat of Union County, New Jersey. The bridge carries South Broad Sreet ( CR 23). It is approximately 2.75 miles (4.43 km) from the river's mouth. [2]
The stone arch bridge that had been built in 1874 was documented by documented by the Historic American Engineering Record in 1982. [3] and was replaced by the current bridge in 1984. [4] [5]
