The second page of the first Eastman memo is quoted in the "First memorandum" section but the article doesn't say anywhere that the memo is being quoted. I don't know how to add make it clear that all that text is lifted verbatim from the memo. Could someone make the change or tell me what to do? Thank you. — Preceding

Also I think the text in the "Second memorandum" section copies text from that second memorandum as hosted on CNN, but it doesn't say anywhere that the memo has been copied into the article. — Preceding

As a start, I put both of these in quote boxes. It's still not perfectly clear that these are verbatim quotes. Whether we merge or not, I think the right thing to do is remove these quotes, summarize their contents in the text, and link to the full memos either as a ref or as ELs.

None of the four cited sources call it a "self coup". So I suggest we stick with
coup. This has gone back and forth a couple of times. Whichever one we choose, we should use the same term in both places.
