Of course they are. You can look at any article that is on the
List of Pokémon (as long as it is not on the
Pokémon Stubs list) for an example. Sample articles I can think of from off the top of my head are the
Pidgeyfuck e (mentioned on the WikiProject page itself) and the
Pikachu article.

"The name Dratini is a combination of dragon, tiny and possibly mini, or teeny, which is an informal alteration of tiny, despite Dratini being born at over 6 feet in length. Even so, Dratini's Japanese name Miniryu contains the word mini meaning small, and ryū, Japanese for dragon. Its English name was originally going to be Dragoon."

"Dratini are born large, as long as 5'11"; and as they shed their skin, they grow larger.
