And to break it down further, with your unnecessary revert you also reinstated a couple of mark-up and style errors. In the infobox, there is no need for a break in genre, and
Xbox links to the line of consoles, not to the actual
Xbox (console). The unnecessary mention of Resident Evil -
Shinji Mikami is already mentioned, no reason to mention his other work. You moved the timeline of release above the history again, messing up layout. And how is the cross-over fighting game Namco x Capcom a Dino Crisis video game? The criticism on the graphic novels is inappropriate, and possible
original research. Per
WP:MOSCAPS, we don't use unnecessary capital letters. So in the external links section, it is "Official website" (with a Japanese language icon), and not "Official Japanese Website".
soetermans.

All that is fairly new is this specific account, considering I've been active on Wikipedia for about a decade, but that is irrelevant. I believe most people are aware that Wikipedia is no "gameguide" as in usual terms. However, that's not the goal either. The purpose of this specific article is to cover the franchise and its essential components as a whole (even if that means dedicating sections to featured and major characters and creatures - as has been done in various other articles for a long time). And yes, while you can be bold in your edit, it should be advised that you take into serious consideration if somebody challenge said edit and do not engage in juvenile edit-wars. Be bold, but not arrogant. Any potential "errors" or flaws with the article can be edited separately and dealt with separately so as to not use it as a tactic to get things your way, so that edit wars and serious discussions are less necessary. The mention of Resident Evil is relevant, seeing as how closely connected these two series are. The timeline history can be edited separately as well. Don't mix it all up as if people should not notice. As far as Namco x Capcom goes, it's not part of the Dino Crisis series, but it is related and in one sense a crossover title, and its inclusion on this article could definitely be discussed, but don't act like you are solely in charge of this article. Again, any minor or separate issues with the article can be discussed. I agree that the article could need some revision, but be careful and respectful of the fact that people may disagree with you.

Read
WP:VGSCOPE. List of dinosaurs falls under #7. The character table falls under #6. The character table is also an example of a shitty way to present information because it is almost entirely empty cells. Summarise it in prose with reliable secondary sources that indicate why the characters are significant. --

(
edit conflict) @
Zoombah: I've cited plenty of guidelines that show my edits were sound, so why are you still reverting? Wikipedia is not a gameguide; a list of in-game enemies is not "essential content" at all; that's
WP:VGSCOPE No. 5: "excessive fictional details", and so is a huge table of characters without any information. Comparing other articles is
WP:OTHERSTUFF, but sure, let's. Do articles like Halo, Uncharted or Resident Evil feature lists of eniemes? No, they do not. Speaking of, how are Resident Evil and Dino Crisis related, beyond the involvement of Shinji Mikami?
soetermans.

The list of characters and dinosaurs should be removed per
WP:GAMEGUIDE and
WP:FANCRUFT. The soundtracks need to be rewritten as prose with secondary sources regarding their notability. And for the strategy guides, every game has strategy guides made for it, we don't need to list them out in an encyclopedia. This should be removed. Thoughts?

Relevance of spiritual successors?
"In 2021, Hashbane Interactive is currently working on a "spiritual successor" to Dino Crisis, titled Instinction, set to release on next-gen consoles in 2022."
I doubt *unreleased* spiritual successors are sufficiently related to Dino Crisis to be listed on this page, are there guidelines about that on Wikipedia? — Preceding

No guidelines that I'm aware of, but there are sources that discuss Instinction and Dino Crisis (
[1],
[2],
[3],
[4]). Same with Exoprimal (
[5],
[6],
[7],
[8],
[9]), which has the involvement of a Dino Crisis producer. Considering the coverage, I think a brief mention of these could be made. At the least, I think Instinction could be added as a "See also" link.
