WikiProject Running is available to assist in the improvement and maintenance of this article. Since Wikipedia is a collaborative, WikiProjects are a good way for people working in the same subject area to get to know each other and to promote more successful collaborations. As to the problem of copying material verbatim from other websites, Wikipedia requires documentation of any permissions to copy that material. This is because, we not only post it on Wikipedia, but make it available for further copying elsewhere. You can contact OTRS to send in the necessary permissions. See this page: WP:COPYREQ. Please let me know if I can be of any help, as I have run in races with Dick Beardsley and remember him well. Good luck and thanks! Racepacket ( talk) 23:53, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
Racepacket: I have added our mission statement back on the wikipedia page. I created the statement, we own it, please don't change it. please contact me directly at jill@dickbeardsleyfoundation.org, not via this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Precious2006 ( talk • contribs) 14:43, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
I find it interesting that other people can decide what to write about the foundation and what is deemed not to belong on our page and what relates to it. It doesn't really matter, as it's common knowledge that wikipedia stuff is usually inaccurate due to anyone and their dog being able to post on pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Precious2006 ( talk • contribs) 16:43, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
To whomever keeps changing the sentence involving Staying the Course: Maureen Anderson is, in fact, the legitimate coauthor of the book and should be credited as such. Please look on Amazon. I thank you...and my mom thanks you! 97.112.29.151 ( talk) 23:17, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
With all due respect, 12-step programs are free. You might want to change the verbiage to simply say treatment programs or something like that. AA and NA, for example, are 12-step programs.
