Chart edit war
Fezmar9 (
talk·contribs) and
David1287 (
talk·contribs), you have both been warned on your respective talk pages (as has the IP
174.61.35.159 (
talk·contribs)) for reverting edits. The edit reversions need to stop and a resolution over this dispute must be made on this talk page.
David1287, please do not contribute any material that can not be verified through a reliable source. This includes your previous additions of the Mainstream Rock chart, and your recent alteration to the Alternative Songs peak. Billboard.com does not back up your claims, so if you would like your contributions to stay, find a different source that still complies with
WP:RS. Also,
WP:USCHARTS is not a policy as of yet. I personally have nothing against component charts, only poor sources and the absence of sources.

I got the 4/24 Mainstream Rock chart from a forum, but wikipedia wouldn't let me put the link to the forum so I had to put in another forum where it's visible on wikipedia. look, Fezmar, this isn't the first time we've been babbling each other over something like this.

Visibility is not the issue here. Forums are POSTED not PUBLISHED, and are entirely unreliable. It would be no different if you posted what you believe to be the Mainstream Rock chart to your Twitter or Facebook. Having it posted on the internet does not make it a reliable source. DO NOT add it back until you have an entirely different source THAT IS NOT a forum post. Also, as Keraunoscopia pointed out, there are a group of Wikipedians that believe adding the Mainstream Rock chart is superfluous and redundant as it is a component of the Rock Songs chart. Is it really worth the trouble for something that probably will just have to be removed anyways?
