I changed a couple of very important things. First it should be noted that there is no consensus on which term (Hispanic or Latino) should be used so the most neutral option is to use both (see: Hispanic/Latino naming dispute). I also changed the following sentence which is rubbish: "It is estimated that in two generations, the United States will have the second largest Latino population following Mexico". "Latino", as every critical and intelligent person knows is not a synonym of Latin American. Both terms refer to two different groups. See the following sources:
Please, next time use "Latino", "Hispanic" and "Latin American" properly.-- Scandza ( talk) 14:21, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
To Erikeltic-
This article is about Hispanics and Latino Americans in the U.S regardless of self identified race, what possible reason could you have to remove a admixture study of Hispanics in the U.S regardless of self identified race?-- ChineseNygirl ( talk) 17:05, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
To Erikeltic - what are you not getting? this is an article about Latinos and Hispanics of any race, the admixture study is about Hispanics of any race-- ChineseNygirl ( talk) 17:42, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
If you read the link you would see it confirms what I say. -- ChineseNygirl ( talk) 17:48, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
I said Hispanics of California and Hispanics of the U.S, whats wrong with you?-- ChineseNygirl ( talk) 17:58, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
You have not even bothered to read the citations or else you would see it was not just a study of California.-- ChineseNygirl ( talk) 18:00, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
I hope you are reading this while you are on your block break. When you come back, rather than insert your WP:SYN into this and other articles to prove your WP:POINT, please go to the talk page first and engage your fellow editors. Aside from the fact that your citations do not support your claims, please use the talk page to first explain to [all of] us exactly why you feel it is necessary to include DNA percentage rates within an article about Hispanics. Again, forgetting the fact that your citations do not support what you're including without a lot of WP:SYN, your inclusions have nothing whatsoever to do with the content of the article. Your edits certainly have nothing to do with the population rates of Hispanics of the United States, which is where you continue to place this unwanted and unsourced material. The bottom line is that not only are your edits poorly written and do not read well, they detract from the article and are not supported by your own citations without using the process of WP:SYN. Please read WP:BRD before making any additional edits on this topic. You may find it very helpful. Erikeltic ( Talk) 20:00, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
As I figured (adding the number of Hispanics in each state according to the demographic table in article), the number of Hispanics and Latino Americans in United States in 2010 was of 50,141,364 people. In 2010 Census the number of Hispanics and Latino Americans surpassed really the 50 million people... But these 50,141,364 Hispanics and Latino Americans excluded the number the people of Puerto Rico and Hispanics of the U.S Virgin Islands (I did not added them to the sum): With they, the number of Hispanos and Latinos would surpass the 53 millions of people. In other words, they were more of 50 millions in 2010 Census but including only those who live in the states that are part of United States, excluding the people of Puerto Rico and Hispanics of the U.S Virgin Islands.-- Isinbill ( talk) 19:53, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
