I'm taking this to the talk page so we don't start edit-warring with
ThePowerofX. I think it is highly misleading to list
PlayStation 4 as platform because the game doesn't exist (yet) on this platform. True, the
Template:Infobox video game documentation allows listing announced ports, but such an unqualified statement serves no informative purpose - on the contrary. As a compromise, we can add it in the infobox with a qualifier "(under development)", but at least let's not categorize it under
Category:PlayStation 4 games, ok? By the way,
WP:OTHERSTUFF (like in
this edit summary) is not a valid argument in such discussions. —

It's not necessary to add the qualification "under development" in the infobox. Visitors can recognize by reading the release schedule that a version is planned but still lacking a solid release date. Citing
WP:OTHERSTUFF seems misplaced when
WP:VG says this is how we should proceed. I strongly recommend starting a topic on the
community talk page asking for clarification, or proposing new guideline, if you wish to have things changed. —

I was referring only to listing planned ports in the infobox, which as you observe above is perfectly normal. As for categorizing forthcoming platforms, I'm just using common sense - do we also remove [[Category:Nintendo Switch games]] from
Arms (video game) and
Splatoon 2 until the game is released, because almost every editor adds that information when a title/platform is announced. —

A more constructive idea would be to make a system of categories "Upcoming [platform] games", just as there is "Upcoming video games scheduled for [year]", but that's a discussion for the WikiProject VG and I'm not familiar enough with it to know if this was proposed before or if there's any reason nobody has thought of that yet. —
