– Each of these pages now contains a basic introduction to the nature of the role – ready for expansion and development – rather than merely a list. Additionally,

Qualified support. Seems to be a good idea regarding the deans, but there are other lists (for example bishops) out there.
WP:NCLL and the Missing Manual chapter 13 section
1.2.2 would appear to suggest the "List of ..." form, but probably consistency wins out.
